Bear Valley Outfitters is the Heated Stand Master for Canada. Since 1990 we
have used nothing else. No, the heaters don't scare the deer away. And no I'm
not talking about a cheap, bucket and tarp. These are Fully Enclosed, Insulated
with Propane heaters. Tree huts are 20-35 Ft. high, and are Excellent. Ground
huts are 4x4, 4x8 trailer blinds, 4x8 tower blinds with hinged windows. Shots

Waterfowl and Big Game. Our location is 275 miles north of the US border right
on the Manitoba / Saskatchewan border, this gives us a wide Variety of Ducks

Diver Duck Action. Geese are all Dry Field Hunts other than Roost Hunts.
Candian Geese 80% Hookers, 20% Cacklers, Snows, Blues are Good, Specks are
Fair. We Hunt The Miss. / Central Fly Way. With a combination of Small water /
Big water, Flooded Timber, River and Dry land, really give our clients it all.
Late season Roost Hunts, Duck Field, are Great Too. Our Bird Allocation area is
80x120 miles of farmland. This insures excellent Hunting for all Our Clients,

The Ranch

FLYING OR DRIVING SCHEDULE
Good Road Travel is right to our Door. - Please arrange to arrive in Camp the
day before your Hunt, after 4 pm and depart No later than 10
am the day after your hunt. Your best flying route is Regina Sask./ We do offer a shuttle
from Regina. Cost ($250, US Round-Trip) Normally we pick up at the Sandman Inn, Sunday
Before Noon or no later than 3:00pm -at the airport / Your return trip will leave
camp the day after your hunt, at 6am, there may be alterations in schedule if, all Clients are ready
early to go to the Lodge or return to Regina, it's a 4 hour drive. Renting a car at Regina Airport is

SASKATCHEWAN: DEER & BEAR
Color Requirements: An outer Layer of Solid Blaze Orange or White must
completely cover the upper and lower portions of your body, plus a blaze orange
Hat. Archery no requirements.
MANITOBA: DEER & BEAR
Spring No Color Requirements :
Rifle Deer - Blaze orange vest, plus a orange Hat. Camo orange is Legal. Fall
Early Archery Bear no Color Requirements.
RANCH HUNTS: DEER & ELK & BUFFALO
No color requirements
BIRD HUNTING
Rubber boots, Good leather boots, Waders if Possible. Warm layers are a must,
corn stock, light Camo plus dark (burnt fields) head net, gloves and rain gear.
You need a white suet, for Snow Geese.
ACCOMMODATIONS: LODGE - Complex
Big Screen with Satellite TV, All Pine Internal Walls, Vaulted Ceiling, 8 Rooms
with Full Bath, Fridge , Etc. Very Comfortable For - 2 3 clients , Plus One
Nice Size Cabins for 4- 6 Clients Or 2 Couples ,Full Bath, Etc. All Linens,
Towels, Pillows etc. are included. Meals are served in the Dining Hall, Buffet
Style. Recreation Building includes 8 man Spa, Pool Table, Satellite TV.
CLOTHING SUGGESTIONS
Spring Bear Temps range from + 35 F nights - Highs of 70 F mid day. Layers of
clothes, light to heavy, rain gear, rubber boots and hiking boots. Mosquitoes
are friendly May 15 Sept 15 , Deet is a good repellent. Fall bear same as
spring. Elk Hunting till - Oct. 20 Temp wise is like Bear. Nov. Deer varies
greatly Lows of - 20 To highs of + 30, Warm layers are important, be sure your
required outer color garments fit over your most bulky coat. Good mitts, warm
hat, and Good Boots I recommend Sorel Glaciers, or Bootees.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Oil freezes in the cold, degrease your guns. Please bring a good soft case for
your Gun or Bow. Archery clients should bring there Own Safety Harness , Good
quality Binoculars are a must.. Prof of citizenship is required of all aliens.
A Passport is your safest bet to Cross Borders Trouble Free. ( If Your Worried
about Border Crossing because of a DUI / OR - We Recommend You Contacted Pardon
Services in Winnipeg MB. 1-800-438-7020 its better to be safe than Sorry ) We
do sell containers for packing meat, horns and capes for there Trip home, Tubs
are $ 10. Each. Elk Horns, Capes are normally shipped home, unless you drive.
We do not recommend taking frozen hides on Air Planes. There mistake and you
loose.
Note: Wounded Game ( 110 % Effort is asserted on All Wound Game Recovery ) Our
penalty is $ 500 To Keep Hunting. Clients Hiding a Kill or a Wound will have
their Hunts end... We respect the animals we Outfit For...
FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION
No handguns ! / Your long guns ( Barrel over 18 ½ ) are easily imported into
Canada by visitors over 18, ( Kids guns - Best Route - put them on your Permit.
) ( We also offer Guns to Borrow - must apply in advance ) we Send Permit with
your paper work, or you can apply on line, good for up to 3 guns, and 1 year.
Cost is $ 25. Canadian, 200 rounds of ammo is duty free. Alcoholic 1 - 40 oz +
24 35 ml cans of Beer, one carton of cigarettes. Is Duty Free...
TAXIDERMY WORK
We Offer In House Taxidermy Work / Plus we also offer / Fleshing and salting for taking home
